Description and Care Info – These are a larger, tropical version of the common
mealworm. They contain more fat, and less calcium than regular mealworms, but
are bigger. We prefer the smaller mealworms for chickens, since they provide
more enrichment and fun for the chickens, who love hunting and pecking for bugs.
However, superworms are great when you want to bulk-up your chickens during
cool weather.
Keep at a warm room temperature, in about an inch of chicken feed. Provide
carrots for moisture.
